North Dakota Bakken and Three Forks
Northern Oil currently controls approximately 65,000 net mineral acres in
the North Dakota Bakken and Three Forks/Sanish plays. Northern Oil's core
strength is acreage acquisition. Northern Oil has the ability to be on the
ground early as new plays evolve. Northern has a track record of aggressive
acreage acquisition very early on in developing plays, evidenced chiefly by
its substantial Mountrail County Bakken position in close proximity to the
highly successful EOG Parshall Field.
